Why don't you do that "phatom of the Opera" thing you did in Russia TV? Modern, energetic and away from classical ballet - you must read our friend Palmer's fury comment? A new, modern idea for a new type of show will get people like those off. |

if you want to market your production as "ice theatre" and be away from ballet, would you consider to change the style of dance for the next show? So people will see that ice theatre, can carry "ballet", but also capable to carry variety of other dancing techniques. I don't know, say "Jazz" or "modern" dance techniques??
You have so many wonderful performers who not only possess superb skating techniques but also know how to portrait their characters. We would be disappointed to see you go back to do another ?sleeping beauty? type of show. The characterisation or theatrical element you added into this show is a very special feature and set you apart from others.
Other thing we would like to see is not going back to a children's show. We don?t mind you do another fairytale, but fairytales need to be told differently for 20 and 30 year-old audience rather than 12 year-old. You have added so much sophistications in to the show and it attracts grown ups nowadays.
Of couese we want to see Andrei more in your new show |

We love the current show so much and love the style of dance and the way characters are portraited.
Would not mind to see another fairtale with beautiful dances pieces. Like to live in a dream for a while after a hectic day of work!
And would definitely love to see more of Andrei in your new show! |

Yes, me too, love the romance and speed you perfectly megered in.
Love fairytales, the wonderful dream world and a tender reminder of your inocent childhood.
But Swan Lake is such a sophisticated show for grown ups...I keep on think how am I going to convince my mid 20-year-old friends to go with me next time to see "Cinderella"...maybe have to say that very charming and sexy Andrei is in it |

Swan Lake is grwon-ups' fantasy while Cinderella is little girls' fairytale. And you have created a very sophisticated fantasy so effectively this time!
Of course it depends on how a talented artistic director tell the story and how the very capable cast perform the show...but the name itself would wipe the sophistication out...I hate to have to take my 8 year old niece along just to find an excuse to go... |

I agree that going to 'cinderella' might put people off.
So it might be worth taking a leaf out 'Cirque du soleil's' book - and call it by it's french name "Cendrillon".
I've been to see a few CDS shows named things like "Quidam" or "Dralion" - but have no idea what they mean - it just sounds sexy.
Other show ideas: Carmen perhaps? |

Though I would not fancy Cinderella myself, "my nieces" would...and in the theatres you performed, there are a lot of them...and don't forget, they do grow up into us!
Love the sophisication and the fine sense of "theatre" on ice...but hate not able to take my niece along with me... |

whatever you do, please don't put it back to the category of "children's show". It would a shame to lose the sophistication you have created!
Dances are normally carried out by fairytales, but don't forget adults have fantacies too! |

| Yes, if you don't like the sound of "ice ballet". Choose another non-ballet show next time. The ice is only just a media, and it can carry any type of shows...like to see Phantom. |

Hasn't "Phantom" been done before? "Cinderella", too...

There is music composed for the ballet, so I'm sure it can be found somewhere... It would actually be quite fun to see, but probably unsuitable for "all ages"...
Being a ballerina myself, I personally really love the balletic style of the company, simply because, while it posesses the elaborate technique, it crosses very many boundaries in a way ballet never did.
What's wrong with "ice-ballet" anyway? After all, being ice-dancers, what would the preferred term be?
That said, I'd love to see the company perform something like "Giselle", or "Romeo and Juliet" - romance, drama, dance, music ready to go... and I don't think I've heard about it being done before!
Also I'd love to see "Snow Queen" brought to life by the company...
I didn't actually believe it to be possible to modernise a classic like "Swan Lake" while still keeping the classicity intact. Nîw that I've seen it done, on my behalf I can sincerely say,
Äåéñòâóéòå! |

I have seen the old "Phantom on ice". It is a bit old and stale from staging to costumes...and I am not quite beguiled with that music either...
If, I mean if you decide to do "phantom on ice" again, I would prefer to use Andrew L. Webber's music...that will make everythibng different. |

I think Phantom of the Opera on Ice should tour again
The DVD of this production is absolutely brilliant, the score is in my opinion better than Andrew Lloyd Webber's.
The skaters are world class, the orchestration superb, and all the singers magnificent.
I think the musics was re-done for DVD, and it's this version I would like to see and hear on tour.
This link shows what I mean, I can't see how anyone can fault it.

I think impice said it in one of the current COI threads somewhere that he will bring SLOI back next time around rather than making new shows.

Then we need to do a soul search to work out why ALW produced such a hit when this one is hardly known by any. |

I did not have chance to see that Phantom, but I guess everyone misses the good time in his/her memory...
I am missing Swan Lake, that splendid opening scene, a handsome prince with his charming friend Benno.... it filled my heart with joy from the first moment - it was love at first sight. |
